Match Play Tournament
Congratulations to Lorraine Kerr, winner of the 2009 Match Play tournament and to Bonnie Blacklock as runner-up!
FORMAT & RULES
- RCGA rules govern all play except where modified by local rules.
- The stipulated round for each match shall be 18 holes from the RED tees.
- The draw will be posted once 16 players have signed up.
- Once the draw is completed each match will have approximately 2-3 weeks to be played.
- Use 100% of your handicap on the day you play your match. Players will play off the lowest handicap.
For example, if Player 1 is a 20 handicap and Player 2 is a 15 handicap, Player 1 will get 5 strokes on the appropriate handicap stroke holes. - If the match is a tie after 18 holes, then a sudden death playoff is required starting on the first hole with the appropriate handicap strokes OR re-schedule an 18 hole match with consideration given to the time restrictions.
NOTE: Both players should agree upon the method of tie-breaking BEFORE the match is started. - Players are responsible to arrange and book their own matches within the required time frame in order to give the next players the proper time to play their matches.
- The format is a "double knockout" event which guarantees each player two matches. Please update the draw immediately after completion of your match. Matches are intended to be friendly, fun, and played in the spirit of the game.
Prizes will be awarded as follows:
- Champion: $95.00
- Runner-Up: $65.00
